I believe the Indian were also looking at something:  Glider Assisted Torpedo, NSTL Visakhapatnam



A lot of this is driven by the fact that the P-8 is intended to be able to deploy such weapons from up to 30,000 ft - no more doing a low level straight in torpedo run!

BTW, an interesting thought with these kits: one could fit them to other items...and not just weapons.  What about a guided, deployable supply container?

A question, once the torpedo enters the water, do these wings detach, or can they remain fixed so the torpedo could ""fly"" through the water
