It would appear that another 1/72 Mitsubishi J4M Senden is in the works. Unicraft has one but the quality is well Unicraft.

Is that labelled a J4M1?  It looks like it could also be a Ki-98.

They do look similar; at least parts for the Ki-98 were under construction at the end of the war. The Meng Ki-98 was a fun kit to build. Too bad it's long OOP. It's unlikely this Mikro Mir kit will be as enjoyable.

Yes!  I always liked the markings on  Canadian Airways' CF-ARI (with the red band around the rear fuselage.

But here's a couple of postwar mods ...

Looking at those sprue gates you might be better off building it. Glad I built mine from the resin kit, can't remember the maker off hand.

That might have been Whirlybirds Chris, they got most of the Project X and Maintrack Models moulds.   I remember a plan I had for the DH.108, a proof of concept DH Vixen smaller scale FTB. I think this will be a go now as I also wanted to build an RW DH.108. An article in Air-Britain's AeroMilitaria was about the RN using Vampires (could have been Venoms) to train the ground crews on carrier handling of the Sea Vixen, could be something alone the same lines.

Interesting choice. I wonder, does another kit in this scale suggest issues with the Special Hobby Ju 388 offerings?

Here is a Scott Van Aken review: https://modelingmadness.com/scott/axis/luft/ju/ju388.htm

Overall, this is not a bad kit. Sure, it takes work to build, but that is the nature of the beast. However, it doesn't take that much extra, and anyone who considers themselves to be an intermediate modeler should be able to build it without any major traumas. It isn't a shake and bake Tamigawa kit nor is it a subject I would expect to see from them. The overall result is very pleasing and well worth the effort put into it.

Jan Forsgren over at Hyperscale: http://hsfeatures.com/features04/ju388ljf_1.htm

I can accept a kit that is a challenge, and this one is. It’s a pity SH got the gear bays wrong, but still I recommend buying it until the ultimate 388 comes along.

I have a few MikroMir kits and they cover unusual subjects, but they can be a pain to build. I don't mind a difficult assembly - especially if it's a scratchbuilt or a major kitbash - but if I'm paying a lot of money for a kit, I want it to be at least a somewhat enjoyable build. I'll let someone else build and review MikroMir kits now, before buying. Look at the issues Kit had with theirAW.52 over at Whatif.
