Hangers

(1/1)

finsrin:
Cut up some used Hamster run around balls.
Might be good as basis for small hangers in diorama.
We get the medium ones.  Large size should be good as a hanger for most 1/72 fighters.
There are 18 side pannels.  I cut out 6.

Can see P-26 fits fine.  P-40 is too big.
Cut out another pannel and P-40 wings do barely clear openning.  Cut out one more and P-40 safely enters/exits this half hanger.

Jeffry Fontaine:
Interesting application for the hamster ball.  Some of the pre-cooked meat dishes I have purchased from various stores use a vacuum formed rectangular shell to hold the product and it contains ridges (on the outside of the shell) which are recessed areas on the inside of the shell.  Some of the Asian noodle dishes also have a recangular container with these same features but usually in a lighter plastic material and therefore not as strong structurally but still possible to use for hangar type structures in several scales.  Though, the smaller the scale, the larger your structure :)
