That turbo-prop Hawg is simply sweet. Or, as I like to say, "it's six flavors of pure awesome!" Filing that away for a future build.

Yes, a tail gun. One good for air-to-air and air-to-ground. Need to plant a radar etc in tail for that.Hmm, I can just see a nicely contoured radar pod above the gun.
Cool. Hit the T-80 with 30mm on the way in and with a 20mm on the way out.
Just make sure the crew does not eject at the same time.
You know how the Bronco was supposed to be operable from floats? Weeeell...
Need I say more?

So are those floats just braced that way or are they retractable up to the wing? The open truss there works for the second, for the first I'd expect a rather more faired strut picking up the trunnions, main and bracing, for the main landing gear on each side. You know how the Bronco was supposed to be operable from floats? Weeeell...
A-10 ideas go here! >:(
First up, how about a turbopropped A-10?

Thanks finsrin. Here's a quick and dirty attempt.
I have it in mind to do a couple of RAF Thunderbolts one of these years. The idea is that European air forces won't look at them without all-weather kit, so the RAF ones have a range of avionics similar to Harriers/Jaguars/Tornados. Some of this stuff was tested in principle on the N/AW A-10 demonstrator. The idea is that the single-seater is the main "bomb-truck" while the two-seaters support them with battlefield SEAD and off-boresight laser designation.
Single Seater:
Terrain-following radar in one u/c fairing
LRMTS in other u/c fairing
Harrier GR.7-style FLIR just below the windscreen sill-line in place of the IFR socket
Lightning-style refuelling probe bolted under one outer wing
Harrier GR.7-style RWR "horns" under nose
Two-seater: All of the above, plus:
GAU-8A replaced by an Oerlikon KCA plus a small ammo box (same ammo as the GAU-8)
Serious volume of SEAD avionics in former ammo-tank bay
Wired for ALARMS, jammer pods and TIALD pods
I did wonder about a 2 seat all weather anti-ship version for the Norwegian AF.
The Seahog for ChernayaAkula!

How about a Japanese or South Korean A-10?
How about a Japanese or South Korean A-10?
How about a <...> South Korean A-10?
The free 1/48 Monogram Warthog kit has the cockpit already started and the craftsmanship is rotten....tube glue in excess, fingerprints melted into the plastic. If there is a way to hide the intakes and a nacelle seam which have the same heavy handed approach, the kit would be prime candidate for something akin to this. :)

Random Idea: Vietnam War continues and South Vietnamese Air Force gets A-10 as replacement for A-1Vietnam war continues and Australia gets A-10 (also AH-1, C-5, keeps and buys more Phantoms, KC-135, Essex in place of Melbourne, Tarawa in place of Sydney, LSM replacements, etc.) ;D

how about a slightly swept wing version with more powerfull engines?
Ooooo…that Moroccan one is snazzy!
Apologies for the big image, but it's just in time for the holidays...

Stealthy (?) A-10:
Note my "(?)" in the original post ;)Yes, I quite agree. Reduced signature, yes; stealthy, no. You could probably reduce the IR signature by extending the nacelle aft and using a daisy, lobed, nozzle to mix hot and cold exhaust streams.
Dare I say, you might have more luck making this (see below) stealthy... ;)Particularly if you bonded it rather than using nails.

Stealth can also mean low noise. Its hard to hear an A-10 creep up on you, especially if you are on the move in a track with a headset on! Then its BRRRRRT!
Hmm... does any manufacturer have the Hog in 1:100? Could be a good scale-o-rama starting point for this in 1:72. :)
Saw a Pucara model the other day.. got me wondering about a 2-seat A-10 with turbo props mounted over the wing & above the existing wheel sponsons, turbofan delete, and maybe the T-tail.
Quick (no T-tail) and dirty (note prop and GIB/WSO position - :P) mod of my turbo-propped A-10 (first page of this thread). I think a T-tail would probably look better than the normal A-10 tail on this one.In 1/72 use the vertical fin from a 1/48 A-10 kit and mod the tail? I think I'd go more for a cruciform tail than a T-tail, but that's this engineer's design preferences.

The engine pods are from an An-32, slightly modified and out of scale. I just looked for something that kinda looked like what I imagined it should.
Nice scheme! 8)
This modeler grossly overdid the weathering on their A-10. It looks ridiculous! You'd never see a plane this dirty in the real world:

LOL yep. That one is being used. Live weapons are live. Double sidewinders, and bombs on the small side... I'm guessing Syria.
No time for "hog wash" apparently... Ill get my coat
SORRY EDITED WHEN I MEANT TO QUOTE :-[
There is a few options as to where to put this , I think this is the spot

I certainly can't see them complaining. 8)
Russia might sulk a fair bit, though. ;D

Well the pictures in reply #154 are visible to me, as are others you've posted further up.
