Hi again.
Another file set of profiles, this time featuring Focke Wulf WW2 secret projects.
P
-
And some more...
-
another 4...
-
another 4.
More to follow later.
Many thanks
P
-
Great stuff!
-
Thank you very much.
There are more....
The first pair of plates are as the original P250 presented to the RLM.
The design was thought to show promise but the RLM noted some areas that it thought would be of some benefit.
So the second plates are my interpretation of the RLMs points using other Focke Wulf design features.
P

Lovely.
-
You said it! That P.250 'Yellow 8' is my fav though :-*
-
Again many thanks.
And again a few more Fws.

Wow! I especially like the Entwurf II with 'tiger stripes' on aluminum -- shades of Sabres to come!
-
Good morning.
It's amazing just how many post war aircraft of all Nations seem to have more than a passing similarity to these projects.

Indeed! It's amazing how similar the Fw 3 x 1000C looks to a few post-war Republic projects.

Hi Empty Handed
I agree.
Even our beloved 'Vulcan' looks like it might have been influenced by some of the WW2 Lippisch designs for example.
Lippisch profiles coming soon BTW.

Sweet!

Work like this is sure to get lots of our imaginations running in high gear!

A little more imagination food...

Love the idea of a carrier version. Does anyone know of a kit?

Yes I do.
Unicraft do it as Fw P127 (PTL). Cost around US$30 I think.
Cheers
P

1/72 unfortunately...for me who prefers 1/48
-
Ah well, maybe someone will do a 1/48th some day.
Otherwise it looks like a bit of scratch-building.
I think there is a 1/48th of the Flitzer, which has a similar forward fuselage, but a lot of the kit would be 'gash'.
P
-
I have the 1/48 Planet Models Flitzer so maybe.
-
TA-183 and P250 look kinda "miggy" depending on view.

You could be right...
It is commonly regarded that the Ta183 did indeed become, or at least have huge influences, on the MiG 15.
The Fw250 also influenced Russian post war jets.
The Focke Wulf factory was over-run and captured by Russian forces towards the end of WW2.

The Ta 283s are great!
-
Curious?
I'm getting the blue boxed question marks on profiles that were fine yesterday.
The more recent additions seem to be fine.
Any tweaks going on with site?

Any tweaks going on with site?
Yes - see here (http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=341.msg5953#new) - we're working on them.
-
I have a 1/48 Ta-283 kit that may end up as something amphibious...hint, hint! ;)
-
Amphibious?!? Might need a smidge more dihedral on those engine mounts ;D
-
Practicality be damned!
-
Amphibious eh?
We'll see.

Last of the current Fw file.

This time some Focke Wulfs, part of my new set.
P

Latest in a long line of great projects. Thanks for posting all of these. :)

Many thanks
I have quite a few more Focke Wulf profiles to add soon.
P :D

As promised...more Focke Wulfs.

I love the camo on the Schnellbomber.
Cheers,
Logan
-
Yes, wonderful skin textures too :)
-
Love the Schnellbomber!!! Will have to look up more on that one.
-
A few more, including the two versions of the Schnellbomber.
P
-
Two more Schnellbomber plates plus a development of the Fw187.
P
-
Nice :) That gull-winged P222.004 schnellbomber is an evil-looking machine! Is the nose MG151 on the P222.001 a fixed gun or flexible?
-
The Stuka is wonderful!

Fixed, as I understand. :)
Some more Stuka renderings.

Fixed, as I understand. :)
Thanks, that makes sense of the positioning.
The Fw 187 Stuka is a formidible-looking bird. The original is prettier but this development looks more purposeful :)

Recently joined and just catching up with much of what's been posted, your profiles are a fantastic resource and inspiration ....

Hello!
I like your profiles soo much! Very good job! I'm interested, because I'm an Aviationhistorian (from Germany). I'd like to express some wishes for possible future Secret Projects: What about a nice Junkers Ju 288A (with its powerful and ingenious Jumo 222)? I'd also like to see some german "Fight Helicopters", e.g. the Flettner Fl 282 with guns (MK 103) or this heli as an Sub Hunter or a Fa 339. A Focke Achgelis Fa 284 "Sky Crane" would be stunning. And how about an armed Fa 223 (e.g. with an Torpedo or with R4MP pod). The Skoda-Kauba SK V5 is a beautiful fighter. And finally some Rockets: how about a german ICBM or a manned version of the A11 (as for as I know even spacecapsules were considered) with a german "Astronaut" entering it. So far (about my spinning). ;)
-
I like your thinking athpilot ....... so how about it Flitzer ?? Along with some He-319 supa-Owls, He-477 and others that the usual Luft '46 guys won't consider.
-
Nice - love those Schnellbombers :-*
-
Many thanks.
athpilot and raafif thanks for the suggestions. I'll see what I can do when I come to my next set of German projects.
I'm planning a set of French and Italian WW2 projects next, so after that .... ;)
P
-
The Fw-187 Stuka is just beautiful!
-
Hello Flitzer!
French and Italian projects are great news! Just can't wait...
b.t.w.: did you ever thougth of soviet projects? They had very good engineers and amazing projects (not only) on their drawing boards. 8)

Hi athpilot,
yes I have and probably will get around to doing some Soviet Secret projects and some American ones too.
So much to do and not enough time to do it all....I can see a lifetime's work in front of me.... ;)

Hi Flitzer!
Yes I know what you mean... But maybe I can help somehow. (I've done some research in German and Soviet Aviation in the 20th century and also in East German Aviationresearch [Luftfahrtforschung]).
