Its from a piece of art by a Peter Elson, originally found at the foot of this page.

Described as a MiG-23-on-steroids by Weaver over on whatifmodelers, I used a MiG-23 profile as a basis with tweaks. I also made a crude 3D rendition in SimplePlanes.

Love Elson for all his sci fi work, and somehow never came across his flogger. Not in any of my books either. Wow

The aircraft in the Elson painting looks like someone got a kit of a half-started Phantom, but missing the instructions. Also some additional bits of unknown provenance. Nice kit-bash!  :smiley:
