Ukrainian or Polish Ka-50 (1/48 Italeri)
« on: March 31, 2017, 03:00:38 AM »
I won't start it before April 1st but I'm ready to serve our one and only proper Party and of course I want to be on place :)
This will be colorful Ukrainian Ka-50 or less colorful polish Ka-50 :)

May the Party be with us :)
Party is defending, Party is advising, Party will never betray you :D  <---popular motto in '70 in Poland (when we were under strong influences of Big Red Brother) :D

Something about soviet tractors...

TASS reports: Yesterday, drunk Chinese soldatesque opened fire on Soviet tractor, which was peacefully plowing the field on Soviet territory. In accordance with the peaceful foreign policy of USSR, the tractor  responded with rocket artillery salvo and flew away towards Moscow. Comrades from Kremlin warn comrades from Beijing that if this situation occurs again, they’ll send combine harvesters instead!

Here is victim of system :)

When Poland was buying last Mi-24 just before system change (from communism to democracy) ,soviet comrades were so drunk that they mistaken Ka-50 prototype for another Mi-24 and passed it to Poland :)

Prime Minister of Our Great Nation ordered me to update...I've imagined cold steel of Nagant on my occiput and I've decided to work faster...like in Gorkyi factory in 1941 in Moscow :)

Yep, that'd do it, I reckon! ;)

Looks like it's going together quite nicely, too! :)

Let's suppose that when Poland was gaining Mi-24 from the Soviets before the end of the Soviet Union's ,comrades were so drunk that mistaked prototype of Ka-50 with Mi-24 and together with Hinds they passed it to Poland :D As a result, together with Mi-24 it was used in Iraq in 2004. Because it was often mistaked with Russian helicopters , for better identification it has white and red eagle painted on the front of the hull, and a big sign "To the battle!" on the bottom. It was enough...

It's an old Italeri product. Decals it's a mix of Techmod Mi-24 set and the Modelmaker's Blackhawk from Świdnik in 1/72. Paiting was done with Gunze and Tamiya. Weathering is primarily Tamiya pigments and paneliners and AK fluids.

So tempting to try "the whole premis of this model is Hokum" :)

Came out fantastic... great paint work and the markings just seem to fit the result

Well done'
