Sins of youth- rockets
« on: April 13, 2021, 04:32:10 PM »
In the article "40 years of Leopard 2" I wrote that I was moving. I recently looked through my box with the rockets I had built myself. They are over 45 years old junk, but I want to show them.

The Matador was an old Faller-Kit (HO), I put him on an Wiking- Truck

It's a whif! ;D

So, how old were you when you built these? ???

They're showing their age, now, but, even for an early-teenager, they're pretty good.

I was 15, when I build the Heinkel 177. The Canberra and the Spritfire(Seafire) I build before I was 13. Then I started also with 1/35 tanks.

See! Not "junk", just age appropriate! 8)

Echoing the above, these are perfectly cromulent snapshots of moments of joy, inspiration and curiosity.

Don't trash 'em.

Or whiff them into something new! The rockets look like a great way to use up model parts. Rattle can silver always gives the 50s b movie look.

Hear hear, any of the models you have shown could be re-built into almost anything.

What about GTX's Turbo Prop HE-177 https://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=6519.0 ?

A good cleaning would work wonders.
