Hi All,

I just discovered the Retro Futuristic GB ! So (this time) I will be honest : my built has been started in 2014 and finished it in june 2017. Anyway, I think it matches with the idea of this GB.

SO !

I started using the 1/72 SMER box of the Amiot 143

I always found this plane "dreadfully beautifull". By the way, it is very big (compared to a die-cast Mirage 2000)

The first step is the modify the nose. Before :

The second chapter is about the wings... verrrrry large wings

 Well... They used to be!

The next step is quite difficult to explain (in english I mean). So I will let you discover the little modifications I did, on the following photos :

Voila!

Hum... Sorry... Something is missing at the end of the wings. To enhance them, I will swap to "recycle mode"

Voila! (OK, I already said that)

Chapter 3 : Is there a pilot in this... thing?

The answer is yes. The idea is to modify the existing parts (as I did from the beginning in fact...). At the end, it have to look like something like that

Step zero: the friends

Step one: the turret

Step two: the canopy

Ooops! I forgot to talk about the propellers. They come from an 1/48 Tamiya kit. This extra size matches the STOL capabilities (hope so!)

Chapter 4: coloring the... thing

The colors are clearly inspired by the french scheme used during the second world war:

I just kept the US Dark grey (humbrol 125) and leather (humbrol 62):

Chapter 5: Vive la France!!!!!!! Hum... Sorry. I mean "markings"

The markings are made off roundels, number (my birthday in fact)

and something found in my "spare parts" box

Yes, it is an F-22
