(1/2) > >>

ChrisF:
Right now the seahawk is done and ive found a paint match its back to What-If that i paused on...

A 1:48th Academy MIG 29A

But in RAF 111sqd service

Question though... I dont think we would have called it "Fulcrum" im not even sure of the east german esq "Fighting Fulcrum"

SO... What do you guys suggest for a new more british name ?   :)

elmayerle:
It depends, are the aircraft a direct purchase or are they built by a firm in the UK?

upnorth:
I'd think if they were a straight purchase from Russia, they'd get called Fulcrum anyway.

If they were British license built, I think you might see it get some sort of official name suitable to a British combat type. Perhaps an aggressive weather pattern that reflects the types Russian origins, like "Blizzard".

There is also scope for predatory names as well. The RAF had Jaguars so who's to say they can't have something like a BAe/MiG Leopard?

raafif:
Hunting (-built)  "Falcon"

the Arab States would like that name , so a good marketing ploy.

ChrisF:
Oh licence built... In my alt world there was never a "Special Relationship" With the americans after the war... Instead the relationship was with the Russians... Fast forward to 80's/90's and the Tornado ADV never happened.... We just went with the MIG-29  :)
