Actually, the Freedom Fighter is closer. A Phantom is roughly 19 metres long - or 197.92 mm in 1/96. Northrop's F-5 is about 14 m long - or 194.44 mm in 1/72. Not bad  :smiley:

Very little progress. I've just started cutting up the aft fuselage to fit a single engine.

Making some progress. Here is the fuselage assembled. The brass tube will be faired into the modified aft fuselage. The exhaust fits perfectly in the brass tube. Don't recall where the engine nozzle is from, but it looks like an F-15 or F-16. The nozzle will actually be glued in after the a/c is finished and painted.
