Nailed the entire concept in one photo. That is a perfect example. 8)

I love the Aeroflot Octa (https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php/topic,5054.msg63350.html#msg63350). I don't know who built it, but it's a beauty.

In the Real World, there have been kits for reduced size warbirds, for sport and racing use. The Thunder Mustang is one of the more famous ones.
.... A civilian 66% F-16 should be cool  8)

A 1/100 F-15 kit will yield an airframe only slightly shorter than a 1/72 F-5A Tiger.
- square-off the wingtips for AIM-9 carriage.
- wings should be good for two pylons per wing, maybe three.
- nose big enough for a proper radar.
- flanks maybe big enough for a conformal AIM-7 per side. Maybe additional AIM-7 station on the centreline.
- 20mm cannon in wingroot (just no longer a Vulcan).

1/100 F-14 to 1/72? Single-seater, fxed wing (Flanker planform?).

Said it before and will say it again, a 1/600 scale Victorious scales to Malta size in 1/700

Also a 1/600 Belfast scales to a proposed RN 1960s Guided Missile Cruiser in 1/700 but also comes almost identical to a 1/700 DeMoines i.e. proposed RN heavy cruiser and super cruiser size.

A super destroyer on a 1/600 Tribal scalorama'd to 1/700?

1/100 F-15 wings were just what I was looking for as a bigger wing for my 1/72 Super Harrier project

The completed builds from the 2019 Scaleorama GB:

Of the seven (7) builds entered, the much-missed Brian da Basher produced four (4).

Some scale-o-rama with two J79 in a single engine pod, inspired by the B-58 used as a flying testbed for the GE J-93 ...

MirageIV & B-58 bash.

B-58 things I tried in the past...

An example with the 1/72 F-5A and 1/144 B-58 top view.
Bottom view 1/100 F-5A and 1/144 B-58 (guess it should work as long as you keep the same scale ratio).

An example with 1/100 F-15 and 1/144 B-58.

A small collection where aircraft nose sections are about 150% bigger than the airframe.

Random stuff...

Two main variants of the Avro/SNCASO Vulture interceptor (Scale-O-Rama).

Some really good inspirational stuff there, JoseFern.

I really like the first iteration of the Avro Vulture. 8)

So, if you'll excuse my ignorance, could you tell me what went into it, apart from the Vulcan? ???

If you mean his series of line drawings, then the nose sections are from the SNCASO SO 4050 Vautour II.

Cool! Thanks! 8)

Looks like a Vautour II N variant nose from the images I looked at. :))

I really like this one.  Gives me other ideas for playing with the Vulcan.  I wonder how it would go with a Eurofighter typhoon cockpit and front fuselage?

Hmmm...1/72 Airfix Vulcan rescaled to 1/48 would give a fighter with a theoretical wingspan of 22.55m.  Compare this to the Mikoyan Project 1.44 (15m) or the Eurofighter Typhoon (10.95 m) or even Rockwell's ATF design (14.45 m):
