RCAF Thunderbird 2

I've said it, and now I'm doing it. Managed to get an Aoshima Thunderbird 2 through a friend, and Canadair North Star decals from Belcher Bits, and we're off to the races! Pod is done, I did the outside of the door in a hi-viz scheme for safety.

Just a test fitting, still a lot of painting and fiddling and swearing to do.

A bit more progress. The 3 little modules that came with it have been repurposed in RCAF service, explained in the upcoming back story. Still some touch-up to do obviously.

Great work Dave. Any sign of Virgil?  ;D
Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Slow and steady. The landing legs are gimmicky, but it would be difficult to make the telescoping in this scale. The pod fits too snugly, it will take a lot of scraping and filing to ensure that it can slip in and out of place without scratching the paint.
