Add me and that makes three that were unaware of this weapon system.

I like where you are taking this concept.  Seems like a practical solution for anyone that wants to make a mobile artillery piece with those two items.

Land / BTR-152 SP Gun with 76.2 Field gun
« Last post by Buzzbomb on Yesterday at 07:54:52 PM »
Just finished a full on RW build of the Asuka M4A4 Sherman for my Brit armour collection.
So time for a palate cleanser, quick build back in Whiff world.

Well whiff world as far as I know.. with the BTR-152 being the focus, there are lots of interesting fitouts, somewhere this might already have been done.
I have this old build of a BTR-152 and being Skif, rather average

Working through what to do with it a few ideas popped up, until a interwebnet search popped up a random picture of the the M3 Halftrack with the 105mm howitzer fitted.
When then led to the long unbuilt stash kit of the equally average Italeri/Zvesda Soviet 76.2mm field gun. Why not mate them together ?

Now working through the gun mount and possible operators. So far, I am thinking Central Africa, maybe Vietnam (they are still using BTR-152 apparently), Cuba, maybe Syria or similar.
Not going to be a long build, once the gun was "together" it was largely done, just fitting out to suit the installation.
