Hi to all.My name is Andrea from Italy. Here in Italian Air Force have in service as frontline fighter bomber a little and not very performing aircraft but good to do some kind of work, the AMX.She has an old style look, like some 1950's jets,so,after seeing a photo I've enlisted her in the U.S. Navy of the 1960's.I had fun to do some photo-shopping,so I've enjoyed this part of what if modelling,so,Ladies and Gentlemen, the F-13A Bobcat.

Welcome to the group Andrea. Very nice work you've done on the AMX. :) Really looks nice in USN markings.
-
Very, very nice!!! That would make for a nice little carrier striker. Hmmmm....Brazilian or Argentine markings? ;)
-
I'd always thought that it looked very much like USN '60s aircraft, but never taken that to its logical conclusion. Well done! Welcome to BtS!
Cheers,
Logan

That's fantastic!
It looks like a direct development of the Grumman F-11 Tiger

Oh yeah! :) Come on, Italeri. An AMX in 1/72! How hard can it be?

Welcome aboard with a great entry. :)

Welcome aboard, that's a beautiful piece of work. I could see a somewhat better-off Brazil going with this for new aircraft rather than buying surplus A-4KUs.
-
Great concept!

As the AMX was intended to be an A-4-like replacement, it wouldn't take much imagination to see it carrier borne. Pity there are no cheap 1/72 AMXs available, just expensive resin ones.

I thought I recall that one of the Chinese companies were releasing one.

RAAF Lead In Fighter Trainer and CAS aircraft?
Well, the AMX-T was a contender back in the mid 1990's, alongside these:
Aermacchi MB.339FD
Aero Vodochody L-59F
British Aerospace Hawk 100 - became the Hawk Mk.127 in service
Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet ATS
McDonnell Douglas T-45 Goshawk
