Hi all. This is what I’ve been working on lately. It’ a D9R propped on wooden blocks. This is the center piece for my latest diorama.

Things to do:

1. Build a steel truss, with a crane. Upgrade the steel bracing with minor bolt and plate details.

2. Minor weathering on the steel bracing, lower portions.

3. Complete painting of a welder figure.

4. Filing down, building, and painting a mobil tool metal chester drawers.

5. More weathering on the ground surrounding the D9R.

6. Adding corrugated sidings at both ends of the steel bracing.

7. Adding lighting fixtures and smaller details on the sidings...

8. Painting and weathering the crane rails.

... And whatever comes that needs attention. So you see, Still need more work before it is complete.

The diorama. It looks complete but it is not. I still have to include the overhead crane, a couple more details, corrugated sidings at both ends with some details, and a welder figure. But so far, things are looking good.

Things yet to do:

1. Upgrade the steel bracing with minor bolt and plate details.

2. Minor weathering on the steel bracings, lower portions.

3. Complete painting of a welder figure.

4. Filing down, building, and painting a mobil tool metal chester drawers.

5. More weathering on the ground surrounding the D9R.

6. Addind corrugated sidings at both ends of the steel bracing.

7. Adding lighting fixtures and smaller details on the sidings...

8. Painting and weathering the crane rails.

... And whatever comes that needs attention. So you see, Still need more work before it is complete.

Phenomenal work. As usual, I'm inclined to say.

Saw this pic first. Didn't recognize the D9 at first. Interesting look without the tracks and the cab. Looked to me like some huge (dozens of meters tall) sci-fi anti-grav mining/exploration vehicle, with the original rear now being the new front.
Cheers,
Moritz

The funny thing about what you just wrote. I had an idea of turning this into some AG sci-fi vehicle. ;) But decided to go with this instead. :)

Another masterpiece.

I'll say! All those little tools and bits-and-bobs constitute a 'masterpiece'. The rest of the diorama is a stonkingly great masterclass in well-worn beauty garnished with a brilliant eye for detail   :icon_alabanza:

Is beyond a Grand Slam.   Must have been there and done that to know the touches, but however you do such details. :o  :icon_surprised:
Correct as it looks cannot rule out use of shrink ray.  ???

 8) Thanks. I think a shrink ray would have been easier. ;)
