I bought some but I also found a nifty hobby shop with some cool accessories and changes must be made...
When the F4-A was first issued many of the pilots complained of a lack of firepower
Apparantly 920 rounds from 4 1inch cannon was lacking
The pilots specifically pointed out that the GTX-24 had the same cannons but also had nose guns . The reluctant engineers went back and added the requisite interrupter gear and not 2 .60 calibers but 4 34-40 machine guns with 250 rounds per gun.
Most pilots immediately began going into combat with the wing cannons switched off and fighting air to air against other fighters with just the nose guns. They claimed to use the cannon for bombers, ground attack and "emergencies"
