Perhaps one/some survived the war and were seized by USN. Later modernized in 1980s alongside the Iowa class. Be a kit-bash project.

More likely to have gone the same way as the Prinz Eugen:

Kind of soviet Scharnhorst. Continuing obssesion with 14in quad turrets.
This study is for a project that includes 3 models in diferent scales
1. Revell 1/570 Scharnhorst
2. Airfix 1/600 Moskva
3. Zhengdefu 30 cm Sovremenny. Resulting scale is 1/520
All four drawings have the same armament approx: 2 quadruple tuurets and a newly designed turret equipped with 3 SSN missiles. You see here possible conbinations accoding 2 indepent issues: superstructure coming from Sovremenny / Moskva and chase / balanced config. Chase config means gun turrets on A and B location and missiles turret in Z position and balanced config is gun turrets on A and Z positions and missiles in B location,
