Hey folks:
Looks like Eduard is set to grace us with a new 1/72 MiG-15 kit:
http://www.eduard.com/blog/mig-15-172-first-sprues-photos/ (http://www.eduard.com/blog/mig-15-172-first-sprues-photos/)
I'm quite looking forward to this as my Hobbyboss MiG-15 that I was basing an East Austrian Whiff on met with an unfortunate end a bit earlier this year.
I'm really quite optimistic that we will finally get a MiG-15 in the scale that is really spot on all around. With as many MiG-15s as there are in Czech air museums, Eduard has no excuse for not getting it right.
-
That kit has been on Eduards new kit list for at least 4/5 years. Hopefully with the sprue shots it will soon hit the shelves
-
According to a chat I had today with the guy that runs one of the local shops, the kit is ready to go and Eduard will be using E Day late next month to launch the kit.
At that, I would imagine that shops will start stocking it in October sometime.
-
Thanks for keeping us updated on this one!
Man those sprue shots are tasty! Did anyone else notice the nice, tight fit of that canopy?

That's been in Eduard's release schedule for about 5 years. Glad it might eventually see the light of day
-
If I only had the time to do the twin engined variant and post it elsewhere within a week of it's release ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D,!
-
The report on the 1/144 Mk.IXe looks mighty good.

I recently acquired the civilian version and yes, it has spats!!! :-* :-* :-*
Eduard's molding is very nicely done and I'm looking forward to building it!
If anyone here gets the military version, I hope they'll whiff it and post pics so we can compare notes. It looks like it will be a nice build, OOB.

I'm going to take a brief break from my staycation to observe that (A) Tarantulas are my favorite arachnids and (B) ah-HOOO-Gah!!
-
If there are more Czech's like her around (& I'm pretty sure there are), I'd be rather tempted to sneak off to my father's former home land for a dirty weekend!
(Now, how do I hide the credit card statement from the missus? ::) )

Biplanes aren't usually my thing, but for some strange reason, I just love the Avia B-534. :-*
-
Probably because it looks like it's only half a step away from being a monoplane.
Which, if I bought one, is exactly what would happen to it! :D
-
Half a step from this, in fact;

GTX and other mods, apologies - I couldn't find a thread for these guys.
I know we're probably all pretty happy with the 1/72 Spitfires we have....but over at What If The Wooksta! has shared a link showcasing Eduard's new Spitfire Mk.IXc (http://ipmsnymburk.com/forum/viewtema.php?ID_tema=39329&page_d=0&idp_d=0&idc_d=1&show_html=).
It's gorgeous. Tons of options (which also means spares), beautiful detail - for crying out loud, it even has PE latches for the canopy and door. I'm stunned, staggered...I'M TRYING TO GET OUT OF 1/72!!!

Not to worry Zac, I found it and merged your topic with the original thread created by Kevin (UpNorth) five years ago. :)

No problem there. They also have them in glorious 1/144 and even in 1/48. So unless you want to go really big (in 1/32 there's Tamiya), they've got you cornered, I'm afraid. >:D ;D

Harrier GR Mk.7/9 Limited Edition
In recent years, Eduard has been supplementing their own original kits with limited edition packaging of other companies’ products plus BRASSIN resin, Eduard photo-etch, masks and colourful new decals.
The latest of these is Eduard's Harrier GR Mk.7/9 package based on Hasegawa's kit.

Coming soon.
A limited edition 1/48 scale Typhoon is on the way from Eduard. "Tiffy", using Hasegawa plastic parts, will include Eduard photo-etched and Cartograf markings. This combination should provide a kit you should be proud to build and display.

Normally I would say ho hum to a new Bf109 kit announcement but not this time:
Well, not fully. I really want the race scheme decals.

Much as I prefer 1/72, that looks exceedingly tempting.

The 109 race decals look sweet, I’d buy what ever scale needed to complete.😊
