Fiat G.50 "Freccia" was FA.... The Gripen couldn't have the serial starting with MG... Perhaps "GP".
Yes, "GP" would fit perfectly with the Finnish system. Or, slightly less plausibly, maybe "SA" for Saab? (Recycling the code used briefly in early 1940 for the Fiat G.50s ... although, not sure why.)
