I'm almost done with this. I need to add some figures (20% of the work takes 80% of the time...)
I think I used the same solar panel image that Brian used for his build. The driver just has to park his vehicle South (or North in the Southern Hemisphere) angle the panel according to latitude and season and get some free energy. The wirecutter in the front is from the Tamiya WWII Jeep kit. You know there are going to be jerks trying to hijack vehicles by separating the driver's head from their bodies:
The very faded decal on the sides says "Fresh Fish" in Japanese, although this won't be a Japanese vehicle. To fade the decal, I printed a single pass in white (so it would be slightly translucent), then added some dirt once it was applied to the sides. I distressed the decal by rubbing a fiber pen over it. The solar panel supports are from a 1/48 B-29 landing gear on the left and from a quad 0.50 cal kit on the right. Obviously, toilet paper will be a major post apocalyptic commodity:
I took the solar panel off to show the cargo area. The "bed" is a stretcher from a Revell 1/35 Bell-H-13 "M.A.S.H" kit. The pillow is an undersized (or 1/48?) sandbag. The sheet is a used laundry color catcher, painted and shaped while wet. Some of the gear is from a Meng set, the wooden box is from Value Gear and the cardboard boxes are mine. The toilet paper rolls are styrene rod, cut to length:
