 Maybe across the front plate, as it does have a nice degree of slope, but at street fighting
 ranges, probably not, and certainly not against RPGs. Neat bit of improv, regardless. My personnal
 favorite in this line is the clunky, charming

I was thinking of the same thing- other than the feeling that the media is counting on everyone coming across the article being unable to tell a real tank from other AFV.  >:D

The mild steel "armour" will give just enough assurance to its crew for them to get themselves into serious trouble if they are not careful.   :o

my dads 50 cal single shot grizzly punched a hole though 3/4 " steel plate with normal ball ammo. will post a pic of it tommorrow.
