Thanks again, guys! The original artwork that inspired this (at the beginning of the thread) illustrates either a very cramped vehicle, or much larger.

J.C. Carbonel made a great 1/72 Hanneton III

Maybe I can get a 1/32 or 1/35 helicopter and convert it into a coleopter...

He's very, very critical.

I was just thinking of a variation - take the Glencoe 1/32 XV-1 (probably closer to 1/40) do some surgery and slap on a duct and it would be close to the original artwork.
