Welcome back! That turret looks every bit the business.

I think this one is going to be very intimidating!

Some work I did on the Gun mount last night

Decided to use the original 75mm gun mount (as in ye old Tamiya Panther kit) for the 35mm Gatling gun mount . Had to cut it a wee bit

Some photos:

Edit shows the stuff-up that I made in cutting the gun mount - too much :( will see how it turns out.  I scratched above as to make it looks like the Gatling gun is elevated a bit

Hoping to at least assemble the 35mm Gatling gun today

More PSR today ..................

Meh, nothing a little bit of sanding &/or a strip of styrene & a smidge of putty can't fix!

You could sculpt a canvas mantlet cover out of epoxy putty or tissue and glue. Hides almost anything. Ask me how I know...

And, while I like the idea of a 35mm Gatling in almost anything, isn't is rather overkill for zombies? If kill rate was desired then multiple .50 cal Gatlings would work better, no? You could carry more ammo, too.

Remember, 35mm rounds are the size of a quart milk bottle. You can't fit many of them inside a Panther hull.

Still, that has nothing to do with the model, which is coming together swimmingly!

Not that much time to spend on this what-if .... old sport injuries (skydiving / mountain climbing in my youth) finally caught up with me

some progress at least :)

I decided to redo the PSR on the anterior turret sides ...

cut away everything and hopefully made it a bit better ....

Slow but steady process.

I've hit a roadblock on scratching the 35mm Gatling Gun

Looking for something that can be used for above circular barrel supports (? correct terminology?)

Apart from cutting the supports from styrene couldn't find something suitable ?!

Any suggestions ?

Ta for making BtS so great

You should check and see if Master makes a 1/32 GAU-8 (I know they do 1/72 and 1/48).  That would cover you nicely.

For this build, I cast copies of the plates from the Italeri 1/35 M162 Vulcan. You could do something similar by cutting out two circles in styrene, tacking them together with white glue (or a touch of CA - you don't want a permanent joint) and sanding the two circles round and equal. Then drill holes through both, slowly increasing the hole sizes until they match your barrel diameter. Then separate and build the gun.

Another option is to use a smaller gun. Get the Legend or the Live Resin miniguns, or if you only want the barrels and plates, get the RB Models version
