The Brabazon Mk.II was to be powered by eight Proteus engines Carlos, two for each coupled contra-prop and buried in the wing.

Centaurus: 2650hp
2650hp x 8 = 21200hp
Proteus 765: 4450hp
4450hp x 6 = 26700hp
4450hp x 8 = 35600hp <---- almost twice original power
