In Mirage 5F, F was meaning French, but in Spirage 5F, F means Fusée (Rocket):

On the opposite, the SPirage 5TS Turbo-Stato-réacteur (turbo-ramjet) had a huge air intake feeding two engines:

The first SPirage was an aircraft of the 1970s. Now, drones are much more common but most of them are multicopters. Maybe this is why the SPirage-5 New Generation was a TriCopter:

I really like the Tri-Copter, Tophe! I can almost see it flying over my fair city...

Great stuff!

Thanks!

It is rather famous that the MiG-21 was a copy of the SPirage-21, but do you know that the Lockheed D-21 was a copy of the Dassault SPirage-21D?

As I am going to be murdered by the CIA, I may tell you the whole “Truth”: the Lockheed SR-71 itself was a top-secret copy (without royalties payment) of the MiRage MR-71, and this involved the SPirage 21Z drone… No? Just a dream?

Those are some fantastic and wonderfully imaginative concepts, mon ami!

I especially like the 21Z!

Don't hesitate to let me know if you need someone to vouch for you with the authorities.

Not that my word would have much influence... :icon_crap:

Great stuff once again, Tophe!

And there was a triplex-21D, or double-21Z, aka 71Z:

a Spirage-5DD was proposed
double-delta
There were also 2 SPirages with little canard foreplanes: SPirage-C2 & SPirajilan:

At http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=957.630 dear ysi_maniac presented weird (and beautiful) Mirage-5/MiG-23 mixes... I have another explanation about these designs: they would be derivatives of the unmanned SPirage-M23 (that was copied in USSR into MiG-23)...
