The Committee of State Sanctioned Modelling, Alternative History and Tractor Carburettor Production affixes the official Seal of Approval to these progressive designs!

Thanks.
The RS-38 gave also birth to a RS-38A more serious proposal, that failed to reach success:

The RS-38B would have been coded "P-38" (Proletarii 38th):

The VVS (Soviet Air Force) was interested by the first RS-38 but explained the need had changed to a very long range escort fighter, thus the proposal RS-38Z:

As 4 engines were drinking too much gasoline, a RS-38BZ version was proposed:

2 engines were still too much so a single-engined RS-38Z1 was designed and built, but it was fragile and the prototype broke during its first taxiing before take-off:

Engineer comrade Tofi argued that guns are capitalistic weapons and proletarian pilots should use ramming fighters with the Tools of workers & farmers, this gave the Serp i Molot SM-38P1, P-2 and P-3 The last one had a worker pilot and a farmer pilot, reaching at the top the communist glory... (no, not propaganda, who said that ? before going to prison or graveyard...).

  • Measures the actual aircraft before modelling it...we have the photographic evidence.
  • I'd rather be dirtbike riding

Thanks. Maybe that was the source somewhere in my brain, even unconscious... ;)

But let us talk about History again, the true one.
Comrade engineer Kreizii said that the "engine" is a capitalist invention (burning alive the working molecules !) and must be discarded from genuine Soviet airplanes. He said a strong and pure political faith is enough for power.
The prototype though failed to run and to take off, so the pilot was killed (probably a capitalist spy), and the second pilot as well, then... the engineer himself was killed, ahem...

Thanks!

And the Soviet political bureau had an objection about the RS-82: "why double fuselage and no double red star ?!". This was cured of course:

The tandem version was materially fragile but politically right and political experts explained communist materialism will make it very solid, unbreakable!

There was a political dispute also about the Parasol-wing RS-38: is the "parasol" a capitalist tourism tool? Many ones among apparatchiks denied this, so it was actually built (and crashed):
