Bell 360 Invictus Helicopter
« on: October 03, 2019, 04:12:02 AM »
Bell recently copyrighted the "Bell 360 Invictus" name for a future helicopter.

There is an article on Hushkit written by Dr Ron Smith. It is about the Invictus and how it could meet the US Army FARA (Future Armed Reconnaissance Aircraft) requirement.  And that thie design maybe very similar to RAH-66 Comanche.

Bio: Dr. Smith joined the British helicopter company Westland in 1975, working in Research Aerodynamics, remotely piloted helicopters, before becoming Head of Future Projects. He had a strong influence on the design of the NH90, and was involved in the assessment of the Apache for Britain.

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Here is Tyler Rogoway's (The Drive) take on what Bell might propose.

"No, Bell's Invictus Armed Scout Helicopter Isn't Stealth But It Aims To Be Fast And Cheap"

A mockup was on display at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) show in Washington, DC.

Yep, saw it in person these last few days and even sat in it.  It is sitting right next to the Bell V-280 Valor mock up.  Will have some additional photos of my own of both to share shortly.  Also have some of the AVX FARA full size mock up as well as few other things.
