Gorgeous!!  Looks like an early take on the BWB (Blended Wing-Body) configurations being played with today.

I kept thinking I had seen something like that before. A Boeing concept IIRC.

Yes - high altitude.  Picture as geological mapping with specific instruments for finding likely oil fields.
