I didn't think Tamiya did 1/72 planes anymore (not counting the Italeri re-pops), but here is this:

It's a follow on to the recent A6M5 and A6M2 kits in 1/72:

"Once upon a time", some 50 years ago, Tamiya did a number of basic 1/72 aircraft.  I've got a couple of their J7W1 kits (both domestic and export boxings - same art work but a distinct difference in choice of background colors).  For a long time, 'til Hasegawa did modern ones, theses were the only 1/72 J7W1 kits available.

I wish Tamiya'd stop trying to #@&%ing motorize everything! :icon_twisted:

Every time they do that they screw with the dimensions of the subject & the fit of the parts & they leave those bloody annoying voids under & around the track guards (often so that the electric motors get airflow to cool them.

Annoying! >:D

The Gama Goat is a lot cheaper than I'd expected - about $30 with shipping from Lucky Model: http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=TA%2035330

It doesn't look like the driver is wearing any ear protection, though...

I didn't see any sign of the canvas tops for the driver or the trailer portion. Get out the tissue and glue!

Tamiya 1/32 De Havilland Mosquito FB Mk. VI pre-orders being taken by HLJ, and others:
http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM60326/Air

Based on info from folk in the know this kit will blow the new HK out of the water, especially
as the HK evidently has a number of serious errors.
