Very cool! A total eclipse will happen in the US next year this time instead of west to east as the last one it will run southwest to northeast. I nplan to be in Indianapolis to see it! I might invest in some camera equipment to get a shot like that. I still have the pinhole device I built last time.

I believe those are the “puffer ports” also called the lateral control jets. You can also see the ones in the tail and on the wings. I didn’t know that these got that hot.
