Anything large enough can be made to fight forest fires. Especially C-130s with a nice red and white paint job.
Too true. Although, I rather like the newer Coulson scheme for their
Hercules water bombers.
Somehow that has put me in mind of the RAAF retiring its C-27J
Spartan fleet. A few years back, Leonardo was demonstrating a MAFFS II-style system for the C-27. What if some of those ex-Aussie C-27Js went to Coulsons for conversion to waterbombers (with some kind of seasonal timeshare between CA and AU)?
