Halberfisk GT.1 Anti-Tank Gunship
1916 - The Britischer “Pastille” tracked guns (rhomboid or lozen-shaped Tanks to us) came as a surprise to the German Army. To counter these the LuftKreig modified a few large aircraft with the army’s 15cm cannon firing armour-piercing bullets. The aircraft would fly low, aiming at the thinner roof plates of the tanks accounting for some of the Britishers. However this low-level attack operation also brought large casualties to the LuftKreig.
