That looks like a huge improvement over the original Airfix Baufighter.

Nice subject choice, Rodolfo! Especially keen to see No. 404 as the markings decision

That looks like a huge improvement over the original Airfix Baufighter.

I kind of liked the surface detail on the old Airfix Beau ... after a bit of a rub down for the rivets  ;)

The parts break down on this new kit is very clever. Having a separated tail and belly panels gives Airfix plenty of options for future variants

Having built one of those myself, I can confirm. The older kit isn't awful, but this is a substantial improvement. Looks like a great build so far.

Before starting to paint, I applied a coat of black Mr Surfacer.

Painting the "invasion stripes" was more complicated than expected.

Sometimes they were neat (but not too often).

She's looking good, Rod!

Looking at these gorgeous photos of this gorgeous model, I SHOULD be inspired.  Instead, I am depressed to the point of not wanting to build ANYTHING because I can't come CLOSE to this!

Still, GREAT JOB, Rod!  Beautiful!

She's looking pretty bloody awesome, even without the final weathering!  8)

Can't wait to see her finished! :D

And a masterclass on building, painting & weathering in 1/72 scale*!
