No idea where the quote comes from, Frank, but, at the moment, yes, that does read as a suitable comment. ;D

Certainly like what I see to this stage, once we get some of the full on Brrrrt happening, pretty sure the coolness factor will step up. :smiley: :smiley:

It's from one of the Monty Python "No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!" skits:

Looking great but where do the tracks go?  ??? ;)

Damn! I knew I'd forgotten something!  :o

Well, maybe not.  ;D

A bit like someone else's foray into trackless winged devices.  ;)

What, who, where!!  :o :o :o

Dragon 1/35 Modern Infantry Fire Support Weapons Set

Took me a while to figure that out, as the sets were broken up into individual weapon types & put into separate supplies drawers.  :-\

Did you cut off the flash suppressors to make the early model weapon?

The LAW rocket would look good placed on the boats.

I already have a few put aside for said purpose.  ;)

Look great, the technique looks the goods.

I do have an "however"
Not sure any Australian RAM SSM would be terribly happy with a rust spot like that on one of "his" boats.

Just as a point of interest, active service twin-.50s;

Of note is the shield & the right-hand .50, which shows signs of post-(surface)rust cleaning & polishing.

Baahhh.. Navy swabbies, slacking around. Must be a Buffer lurking somewhere with a clipboard taking maintenance notes.  ;D

Funnily enough, I found the same image when I was researching twin .50's for the recent M20 build  :smiley:

Started detail painting of the front internal cabin bulkhead (engine controls, etc.) & the radios.

Using these images as "guides";

OK, so, this is where I'm at;

Although it looks like I've painted the markings on the dials, I haven't, it's just reflected light.

I have some vehicle dial decals floating around somewhere &, if I can find them & any of them fit, I'll probably use them before I try painting the dials (I've not been overly successful historically).

Radios are being a little more problematic ... But I WILL prevail!  :icon_punal:

Very nice! When the time comes, will will you be jamming a water bottle in behind the throttle quadrant?  ;)

Radios installed;

I think it was worth the effort, even if the set-up isn't "real".  ;)

The instruments, radar, radio and everything else look fantastic! Even the curtain to the main cabin looks good!

I was thinking the same. The controls, instruments, and radios look great. But, my eye was also drawn to that canvas companionway door cover  :smiley:

That would have to be an old school radar display.
This is all looking awesome!
