Something of interest from YouTube on the M4 High-Speed Artillery Tractor and Prime Mover

Thanks for that! A friend from my club gave me a Verlinden kit of the M1 155 artillery gun. It looks like a nice kit and the M4 tractor would be perfect for it.

I was surprised to learn that the M4 HST had HVSS suspension albeit an earlier version of what later developed into the HVSS on the later models of the M4 Sherman.  All this time I had assumed that the automotive components on the M4 HST were derived from the M3/M5 Stuart and M8 75mm HMC.  Turns out that was a bad assumption/observation.  That said, I still want to modify the M4 HST to have the HVSS units from the M4A3E8 Sherman because of the CooooooooL FactoR.

That Verlinden resin 155mm Gun kit was horribly expensive when it was available.  The fact you got it for free should be a red flag on what to expect when you start building it.
