  • now if I just had time to finish all my projects!!
I've been missing from these pages for the past few months as I have been tied up with other projects that have consumed large amounts of time!

The Arado build is sort of gathering dust at the moment but it's not forgotten, I have a quieter period coming up later this year so I'll try to finish her then.

Anyway I'd thought I drop by an show what I've been up too.........

This build is part of a double act for a 80's NATO vs Warsaw Pact GB on another site. I had acquired a couple of really old OEZ Su-7s off evilBay for about $10US so they'd suit the bill perfectly. Them plus throw in a pile or aftermarket stuff and some serious mod work and we'd see what happens.

One is a Czechoslovakian Su-7BKL shown here and the other will be a Soviet Su-7BKL with a RN-28 Tactical Nuc fitted for a bit of fun!

Along the way wing fences were replaced, elevators to fuselage shape corrected, inlet blower doors opened up, main wheel wells rebuilt as their shape was all wrong, nose gear completely rebuilt, main gear and retract system rebuilt, and other stuff I've forgotten already.

A lot of work but really really enjoyable build, these OEZ (Kopro/Eduard/Smer/whoever, they'll all re-mounds of the original OEZ model) are so nice to build. A bit crude in the detail but there are heaps of AM stuff about but they are accurate and in most cases fairly simple to modify.

So after all the dust had settled, and there was heaps of it, the first beast emerged! Not 100% perfect but I'm very happy with the results.

Please enjoy..

...and his big brother had to get into the photos as well......

Nice one, mate! :)

But, then, I'm of the belief that almost nothing looks bad in Czech markings & camo. ;)

Typical of the Soviets to muscle in when one of their subject nations was getting too much of the lime-light! ;D

  • If reality is real, give me whatif. Really?
Oh come on, I'm not daft! All you did was photo the real thing and  then fake a kit build. If these are not real planes I will eat my lunch. :)
If I don't plan it, it can't go wrong!

If it's great, I did it. If it's naff, I found it.

That's gotta be one of the hottest Sukhois to come along in a while!

The details are astonishing and that camo scheme is really sweet!

Nice to have you back posting again!
