Interestingly, I am currently reading:

and in it, there is a very brief mention that the RN considered an option to fit the surviving King George V-class battleships with Ship Launched Ballistic Missiles such as Polaris.

 BALTIMORE,Feb.6--LAST VOYAGE--
The battleship Kentucky, whose keel was laid in 1942 but never was completed, is towed up Chesapeake Bay toward a Baltimore scrap yard today, where it will be junked.
Construction cost $55,000,000 before work on the ship was stopped with the end of World War II. The hull remained in the Norfolk, Va., area until it was sold last year to the Boston Metals Co. of Baltimore for $1,176,666.

And what she might have looked like if she had been converted to guided missile battleship BBG-1:

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Weird, and thus intriguing. What is it, besides a battleship?

Judging by the size of the bell on the bow it's a replacement for Big Ben !

I would describe it as "a janky piece of AI imagery".

Yes, the ship form is pretty good (despite the hull being peppered with at least rather unconvincing 4 shell holes) & the turrets look cool, but the guns look like they're short-barrelled 75mm's from M3 Lee/Grants & the bell, apart from being incongruously plonked on the bow of the ship, seems to be about 15'-to-18' (4.57m-5.49m) tall.

Kitbash inspiration.  Figure 20 turrets on each side is about right.  Use turrets of your choice.

Only if it is going to destroy the entire task force supporting it!
I’m just tired of the AI hoopla already. It might have some uses but creating images is not one of them.
I got a new computer that comes with AI apps on it. I asked it for a digital camo pattern on an F-23 which would be for an actual project I’m working on. The digital camo was actually pretty good but the aircraft was obviously an F-22. The more I asked it to refine things the worse it got until it was black covered in grey plus signs and wings that didn’t resemble an F-22 or an F-23 but included canards. Artificial, yes; intelligent, no.

Now a total redesign of the Iowa class with nuclear power and new high speed weapons would be crazy good. It’s on my “one of these days” to do list.
