  so what has 2 R2800's and 2 40mm bofors cannons.....a DAP beaufighter MK20..modified

its a build for an up coming John Baxter alternate RAAF in the SW Pacific book
so in our heads the Beaufort never went into production in Australia...DAP started with Beaufighter's...being an early one it has the flat tailplanes,and because of possible shipping problams we also reengined ours with R2800's :o

the kit is the VERY old frog MK1 beaufighter,with a few minor interior upgrades (airfix instrument panel and scratch built control column) the gun cupola is a resin one from a JU88 P2,with brass 40mm bofors barrels and the engines and cowls are from Quickboost for the monogram F7F,the decals are from the DK decals sheet,the markings are for a real aircraft flown by the uncle of our current Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove...Bill Cosgrove,he was a former Richmond VFL footballer and named all his planes "eat em alive" and used the richmond football club mascot as his nose art.

WOW!!!!!  :-* :-* :-*

The Beaufighter has so much latent WHIF potential.
Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.
