Something I don't think has been mentioned here.  A Pace Tack pod semi-submerged in the weapons bay and LGB'smunder wing, either on racks or on a version of Matra's combined fuel tnake/weapons rack.  It cries out to be modelled alongside a F-111 doing "tank plinking" in Desert Strom.

Some recent 1/72 upgrades from Colin S @ Freightdog Models

Freightdog 1/72 BAC TSR.2 Interceptor conversion:

This set allows you to convert the Airfix 1/72 scale TSR.2 (not included) into the proposed Interceptor version.
Parts included are a new sideways looking radar, IFR probe, two pylons, launch shoes and Radar Red Top missiles.
Resin parts cast by CMR.

Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Okay , so here's one which has been occupying the back of mind for a long time . . .
What if , after their work together on the B-57 , English Electric and Martin keep up their contact ?
While EE make only moderate improvements to the Canberra , before moving on to the Lighning , Martin continue development , via the 'Super Canberra' , Model 316 , and eventually the XB-68 , which is cancelled by the USAF . Now , when the TSR-2 programme gets underway , Martin offers EE the 'XB-68' design , and a development / production licence . This allows EE to get a head start on the other companies , so that a 'B-68' derivative , modified to British requirements , powered by British engines , and built in collaboration with Vickers , enteres service as the BAC Eagle B Mk.1 . . .
cheers ,
Robin .
Do you think I don't know you ?
I can look inside your memories, your nightmares, your dreams.
You're a man haunted by those two most terrible words:
WHAT IF ?

And then the USAF decides it needs it after and another joint production effort with Martin ensues.

Maybe also have something happen to cause the F-111 not go ahead.  Maybe the problems that caused the first few to be lost in the RW are identified earlier thus eventually resulting in the fleet grounding earlier and thus a new platform being required.  Or perhaps Martin bids in the original TFX competition - they didn't in the RW.  It will be a Martin Marietta bid given Martin merged into this in 1961 , around when the TFX requirement was released.  Will also need to address the TFX requirement for a common USAF/USN platform though.
