F-15/18-like Mustang

Last year, I wanted to draw a P-51/F-51 Mustang with the tail of a F-14/15/17/18 (somehow flat with 2 fins, maybe 2 jets) but my tries were not satisfactory (see below). This year, I plan to improve that and finish what I wanted to do.

Drawing is quicker than building a model. So, before waiting December 2018, I have been able to make it at last.

Of course, before the supersonic jet above, there was a transsonic version with piston engines (4 of them):

And the 8-engined P-82E-15/18 was the most powerful piston fighter ever!

Less futuristic was the (4-engined) Burnelli Mustang, still with 2 fins on a flat rear part:
