         story here -- http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=852.msg49483#msg49483

Here are prototype & production machines had Britain accepted Demole's design in 1912 ...

could'a, should'a but wouldn'a -- WW1 deMole Tank  (take 2)

His design having been rejected twice by Britian, in 1912 & again in early 1913, deMole sells it to Germany who field it as the Panzer-zug ...

As part of the GB I present my latest creation. The USAF decided to look for a new LIFT trainer to replace the T-37 in the early 80s this lead to the adoption of the BAe Hawk as the T-45A with the Naval variant becoming the T-45B. Here she is in ATC colours:

Instead of going the route of developing their own costly trainer the JASDF instead opened a global competition. The BAe Hawk won with Japan odering the Hawk 66.

1. Standard trainer scheme:

2. Commemorative F-2 scheme:

And of course Blue Impulse:

So I decided to go old school with the first profile in the Impala Mk.II scheme, which isn't NMF but a Silver paint that ends up as a matt after long enough exposure to the African sun (there's one mounted at the aitport her in PE)

The next one I went for was, of course, a mount in the Silver Falcons. I love their new scheme with the big falcon's head on the front fuselage. Now what I've done is more of "an inspired by" than a direct copy of the scheme layout found on the PC-7.

Here's the entry from Talos and I.  It's the Vought V-507, LTV's entry to the VFX competition actually won by the Grumman Tomcat.

As always, click on the image below to see the picture at 100% or view it at my DeviantArt page.

Cheers,

Macchi M.39T: Gordon Bennett Trophy racer, 1926

The Gordon Bennett Trophy could have been running through the 1920s and '30s, with rules paralleling the Schneider Trophy rules - but for landplanes. Italy should certainly have participated, and let Mario Castoldi base the landplane racers on his Schneider Trophy designs. For 1926, the Italian Gordon Bennett Trophy entry would have been Macchi M.39T.

A little more on it in the "build thread": http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=3525.0
