They look great.
I started wondering about the less than stellar sustained turn rate and turning radius. Working between the Swiss mountains might be different from doing it with more agile fighters.

Yes, they are 3D printing resin aftermarket.
No specific brand, I found them on a small shop on TaoBao (China). The guy is doing a lot of loadout stuff for aircraft all over the world (french, US, chinese, bomb, missiles, pods, pylon rails,...) and some figure as well at the main scale (1/48, 1/72, 1/144 mainly), so each time I go there, I order a lot from him  ;D

First time I went in China, and got access to TaoBao, I was really amazed by local aftermarket options. Some are available on AliExpress (not him, but you have FabScale and SSModels which also have great options of resin for aircraft, and Galaxy Model for resin and decals options, I some of their references), but most of them are just selling inside mainland China.
Maybe available to local TaoBao as well (like HKG or some others South-East Asia countries where the app is available), but I didn't try to check there as I only have access to the China mainland app.

Interesting choices.
Where did you get them? They look like resin aftermarket.

Missiles are ADM-160 decoy missiles that can operates as jammer in the C variant

The pod is an AN/ALQ-249, the one used on the EA-18G

Thanks Craig! Your build inspired these two!

I'm calling this one done.

There's a hatch at the back of the cargo bay and the exploration vehicle fits nicely, with room to spare:

The 2607 decal looks silvered, but it's wet and I applied decal setting solution after I took the pictures and it settled down. The blue-gray, beat up scout ship is all that's left of my original SSC Leif Ericson kit, from 1968. It illustrates how small this recon ship is. The scout fits comfortably in the Leif Ericson's bay:

The black (or dark metal) upper fins are supposed to work as radiators. I forgot to nip off the attachment pin for the small turret that was supposed to go behind the cockpit area, so I painted it light blue. Maybe it's a light, sensor or something else:

Tips, Tools & Techniques / Re: Heat-Shrink" Tubing Material
« Last post by Frank3k on June 20, 2026, 09:06:21 AM »
This is the Aber T-72/T-90 barrel. It does have a thermal blanket (a thin line is milled along the barrel to indicate the seam):

With the closest fitting heat shrink:

I used a heat gun this time (not a hair drying gun) and it shrank the tubing to it's smallest size:

Not sure if this is what you were looking for, Jeff.

Now my rant - it's almost impossible to find plain Polyolefin heat shrink tubing on Amazon. They all have a shitty adhesive on the inside and are labeled for "marine use". Which is bullshit (and useless in this application). The adhesive came off with just a bit of alcohol. For "marine" or even outdoor use, this adhesive will only provide modest waterproofing. Good waterproof heatshrink tubing has a layer of hot glue-like material that softens and oozes out the ends as the tube shrinks. that works and keeps water out.

That’s looking really good! Nice paint colors.
I have to say I don’t recognize those orange parts. Missiles and a gas bag?
