Title: Another Real World Build...Tamiya 1/48 F-14A The Mighty Tomcat!
Post by: Aeroplanedriver on May 02, 2020, 03:23:18 PM
Seems I'm on a real world modeling kick at the moment.  This is my eighth build since I started building around March 20.  Of the eight this is the 5th real world model.  I really must get back to Whiffing after this!!

Anyhoo...magnificent kit.  The engineering allows for painting a lot of the major subassemblies before putting it all together, making fun tasks like masking a lot easier.  Touchup once it's all glued together wont be very extensive thanks to the amazing fit.  It'll be more blending in than anything.

Building it completely OOB except for Eduard details for the already-nice kit seats.  Markings will be the kit decals for the VF84 "Jolly Rogers" CAG bird, USS Nimitz, 1979.  I just love Gull Gray over White!
