As per Tophe's suggestion, I've started a new topic here looking for a little help.

I have a plan to build some float planes from the film Porco Rosso... including the imaginary security planes:

but I could really use something that looks like a schematic to follow.  Is that something anyone'd be interested in helping me out with?

Not sure if this website is of any use:  http://www.wingsee.com/ghibli/porcorosso/planes.html (http://www.wingsee.com/ghibli/porcorosso/planes.html)

The side-view of it with the wings folded and the scrap views of how they fold, give
you a good basis for both the fuselage profile and the outer wing planform.

Thanks for the replies.  I'm sure the pics I posted will provide me enough of a reference (I also took some photos of my tv screen to get some helpful stills) to get the job done.  It's just that after I saw some of Tophe's beautiful work, i thought he might be interested in crafting a top/side/front view. That would make the eyeball measurements a fair bit easier... and we'd also have something pretty to look at.

I think I may try, yes, to create a 3-view from slanting views.
The only problem I have is that my trigonometric tools take as basis an "isometric" slanting view (like zoomed from great distance). If the source has a strong conical effect (like photograph from short distance, with big wing front and little wing far), I must average and this is not precise at all.
Well, I did that in the past, it is a time-consuming job, not funny. I may try sunday or the sunday after because I have another work to do for another friend (scanning a whole book).

This week I have no professional work and I may try to perform this transformation of one slanting view (tell me which one). Before, I am busy at home, I have to download all my Photobucket files and make a site of my own with them, directing there, but maybe Friday I could do your hard work.

I have no particular preference.  Anything at all will be a big help.  :)

				Nicely done!

Thanks José, so... no need for me to create it?

Thanks for the svg file, even if my Corel Draw opened it with a little problem (see below).
For the front view, the second color drawing almost gives it (I should use it as a basis for this, but it seems uneasy to find on it the lines I need for my trigonometrical calculations/change: vertical line and horizontal longitudinal line).
I am not sure I will have time tomorrow (because of the 33 models with photographs I had to move, only 8 have been done yet), but I may try, as a start.
Congratulations again for what you did, José.

				1st take

 I'll take it!

Wow. Great job.  That will come in extremely handy when I start this build.  I've been collecting parts, and I think I've just about got there.

				Revised 3 view drawing...

				Congratulations!

Oh, now that's a thing of beauty.  I was planning to just cobble something together that "looked about right" but now I'm going to have to be a lot more diligent to do that drawing justice.

Thanks so much! Better not just than I expected, but dared hope!
