Title: Sturmfire & Spitvogel
Post by: Tophe on May 12, 2017, 12:37:33 PM
from my egg-P-38 topic http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=7061.45 (http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=7061.45) :
Thanks Brian! Your so nice words make me chose my next model (or couple of models*) will be for here and not for the other (old) site...
* : mixed Sturmfire & Spitvogel, 1/144, basis ordered today...
Yes, my new project is a mix of Spitfire and Me-262:

I wanted to mix Me-262 and Mustang, but the Mustang 1/144 was not currently available, so I replaced it with a Spitfire 1/144, a little more expensive. Alas today when I go to get the pictures of boxes, the Me2-262 is no more available... Either they took the last one for me, OK, or they checked and found none, so my one will be delivered much later... I will see.

The word "Dual" on the Spitfire kit makes me think there are 2 planes per box, but probably not. Anyway I have dreamed of twins:

If you Wonder why these colors, I must explain: these models are the stars of a love story that I have written. Probably nobody here reads French, but I give you the link anyway: http://www.kristofmeunier.fr/MCT_Tom21.pdf (http://www.kristofmeunier.fr/MCT_Tom21.pdf) . These are the pages 85-87 of this group of short stories, currently final, but writing other short stories will go on. :)

Interesting project Cristophe  :)
The box contains two kits, the wings are cast in one piece, and you have two diferent types, the normal eliptical type and the clipped type.

I have been informed this evening that I am going to receive soon both kits.

As I have no second Me-262 for the internal wing, I must correct a little my project (and I have no pink paint also):

I consider a biplane tailplane on this one, too, unsure...

Thanks!

And before butchering, a little standard building has to be made (on these tiny cute things):

Interesting build, the eduard 1/144 kits seem to be high quality, aren't them?

Yes, Eduard plastic is very good.

But here is a view of the hospital, where the poor wounded parts got surgery:

Artificial flesh (nicknamed "putty") is good for aesthetic repair surgery:

With the first layer of paint, they are no more compound fantasy but serious models, almost "realist"... ;)

Those two little airplanes look quite interesting now that I see them finished.
I like them both  :)

Apologies for arriving a bit late to the party but once again you've built a couple of models that are so imaginative they border on sculptural works of art, mon ami!

The asymmetric placement of that push-pull propeller engine could be your signature, Tophe!

Great stuff and an absolute delight! I especially like your tinted canopies and these are very well done.
