About the best thing ever done with the F-22 kit by converting it into the NATF. Now we have two of these beautiful NATF conversions. :)
-
Looking good.
-
Very cool!
-
Superb work so far!! :) I will eagerly look forward to this as it progresses ;) ;)
Pity it's not a real aircraft and the USN will be stuck with . . . . well you know ::)

When I first saw this concept I thought it would make for a brilliant F-111 replacement.

This link : Naval Advanced Tactical Fighter (NATF) 1988-1991
Due to Congressional intervention, the US Navy agreed to evaluate a navalized version of the US Air Force's Advanced Tactical Fighter (now the F/A-22) as a possible replacement for their F-14s. In return, the US Air Force would evaluate a derivative of the ATA as a replacement for their F-111s. http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/natf.htm (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/natf.htm)

-
Ohh man, it will look fantastic at the end
-
cool concept and nicely executed. Although I wouldn't want to be in the rear seat of this bird - unless your Peter Dinkley
-
If/When F-22 production restarts, Navy needs to consider also building this version. :)

A darn shame that the main weapons bay is too shallow in depth to accommodate the AIM-54 Phoenix. Something I really wanted to model on an F-22 until I discovered there was no room internally to carry the things :(

Bah!! The Phoenix was overrated anyway

mount one externally where the drop tank would go?

So mount Meteors instead for extra range BVRRAM's or look at the folding fin AIM-47B that looks suspiciously like a folding-fin Phoenix.

Very nice! Can we get an image of the underside showing off your weapons bays? Certainly one of the best interpretations of the NATF seen so far.

Ok, this is definitely proof, if we ever needed any more, that the whiff-world should be the real-world...majestic!! ;)

An inspiring build. I agree with everything said above. :) One question: in RN service would it be called a SeaRaptorCat? ;)
