Excellent work Steve. Saw your post at Missing-Lynx on the same subject. Like LemonJello, I too would not mind having a couple of those turrets for the purpose of mounting on some other hull. Makes you wonder what NATO tank hull would be the best candidate for such a mash up.

I would choose any modern western MBPT - say an early Leopard 2. I would say that the Western one was armed with something such as Spike-LR and perhaps the Rheinmetall 30 mm MK 30-2/ABM (same gun as the PUMA IFV) though you might want to make the missile tubes a bit larger if you want Spike LRs since the Spike LR is 170mm in diameter whereas the 9M120 Ataka used on the terminator is 130mm in diameter.

Looks fantastic. Any comments on the kit? A mate has one and I know the tracks alone are 810 pieces 😖

The tracks are a pain, but once I figured how to use the assembly jigs, it went pretty fast. I built them in groups of 10, then joined 2 for 20, then added 10 more for 30 and so on until I got a full track. The tracks work well, they are a little fragile, but with careful handling they stay together just fine.
A lot of the parts have mold studs in hard to trim places, and some are very thin and brittle.
The rubber pieces that go on the 2 crew hatches for the grenade launcher operators are supposed to fold up a little on the edges, as shown in ref photos.
Don't get me wrong I loved the kit and subject, overall a very nice kit of a unique subject, if I built another one it would be as a hovertank.

Very nicely done Steve. It looks great in that scheme.
I gave up on the jig they supplied and ended up attaching the track ends using the sprues as they were spaced perfectly.
My only suggestion would be to have a lighter wash in brown as opposed to black, but that's just my preference.
It's a great kit isn't it? Goes together very easily. So much so it inspired me to buy the trumpeter scud B launcher. I think I bit off more than I can chew with that :)

Madhatter - I tried a brown wash first, it just did not show enough contrast for me. My next project is Meng's D9R with "ladder armor", big project and it scares me !! :o :o

ooohh that'll be nice. After watching Antonio build up his resin one a while back, I've eyed the Meng Dozer kit off a few times but I just haven't bought one yet. One day I might.
Considering doing a WIP for it? I know I'd be keen to see one

Yes, I was planning on taking photos during the build, will post as often as I can. Its going to be a long and challenging project. Even my wife is excited for me, she has been waiting for this one since I bought it a year and a half ago.
