So a while back, a good friend of mine sent me a brace of 1/72 Modelcraft Wellingtons. Well, I finally pulled one out of the pile and set to building it. Keep in mind, none of my models ever end out looking like the nice picture on the box (or in this case, since they were bagged Wellies, the nice picture in the directions). After some thought, I found the perfect replacement wings:

Oh, and since I'm de-milling this one, I had to re-do the tail. The nose from a 1/72 Mossie made a passable tail cone:

Hi Brian,
Well, they came out of a Monogram B-36 box ;) They look just pretty darned good, too. Stay tuned for more RB-36 nonsense in the near future :D

I'll have to remember this for the backstory. Rate of roll could be a vital feature...
Paint is on and so is the new nose. Moving on to touch-ups & decals next.

Frusgtrated by the limits put on him by the management at Shorts, Arthur Gouge went to Vickers were he
was able to follow his dream of advancing his flap research to produce an all flaperon wing. While seen on
the tarmac on a number of occasions the historical record is silent on test flight results.
