Here is Monogram's old classic. Tried some bare metal foil to "frame" areas of the model. Not my best effort, but not the worst either. I don't know if this is really a WIF, but maybe it could be. ;) Please excuse the photo quality, I know they are bad :(

That looks really good! My Dad built this when I was a kid. I loved the working equipment.

Shining metal! are you sure this is a plastic model, uh? ;)

Welcome to BTS, Kem! Your Phantom Mustang is quite a smashing way to make an introduction!
In particular, I especially like your take on the famous zinc chromate green. Granted, this color can be a real bone of contention, but the way you render it sure looks nice against the red markings. The addition of BMF is icing on the cake!
Well done and I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thanks all! You have made me feel very welcome here :). This was a lot of fun to do, and maybe I will inflict a couple more on you guys, as I made some mistakes here, and think I can do a better job going forward.
Frank3k: Good to have those of memories of Dad, and enjoying things together. All of the features on this one worked . . . . for a while :( We're down to just the motor now.
Tophe: I hadn't tried BMF previously, and it was a good learning experience . . . the stuff was trickier than I expected, so made some blunders.
Brian: This was a Shelf of Doom build, and I had painted things like the wing tanks in zinc chromate before I learned that wasn't right. So live and learn I guess is what we all try to do.
Thanks again for your support, much appreciated. More wacky builds coming this way ;)
Best regards,
Kem

The BMF gives it a very different look. Excellent work!
